Supreme Judicial Council Lifts Immunity from Judge، Refers Others to Accountability Council

The Supreme Judicial Council held its meeting Monday and chaired by the President of the Council Judge Mohsen Talib.

The Council approved lifting the immunity from one judge based on a memorandum from the Public Prosecutor and also referred two judges to the Accountability Council based on a memorandum from the Chairman of the Judicial Inspection Authority.

The Council discussed the proposal submitted by the Chairman of the Judicial Inspection Authority regarding the transfer of a number of judges to work in the Courts of Appeal and took the necessary decisions in this regard.

The Council also discussed a number of grievances submitted by several judges and took the required procedures accordingly.

The Council approved the memorandum of the Chairman of the Accountability Council regarding the assignment of a judge to complete the legal quorum of the Accountability Council.

The Council reviewed a number of topics listed on its agenda and took the appropriate measures, and also discussed its previous minutes and approved them.
