MARIB – SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Sultan al-Aradah has emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between official and private media institutions, consolidating a responsible media discourse and unifying efforts in a way that achieves integration and serves the comprehensive national media message.

In his remarks during an expanded meeting held today with media professionals, poets and artists, he pointed to the need to take into account the exceptional circumstances the country is going through and the sensitivity of the current phase, which requires a responsible and balanced discourse that truthfully reflects reality, promotes positive messaging, and addresses challenges with transparency and responsibility—boosting trust and realizing truth.

Al-Aradah explained that the media is a key partner in the national battle and a fundamental pillar in preserving social peace and protecting national gains and constants.

He stressed the need to avoid side quarrels, refrain from publishing any content that fuels division or weakens the home front, and to avoid being drawn into rumors regardless of motives of speed or competition.

He also underscored the importance of confronting media disinformation campaigns and extremist ideas of the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias, exposing facts and dismantling falsehoods in a national language that conveys to the world a clear picture of what is happening on the ground.

The Presidential Leadership Council member urged media professionals, intellectuals, and creatives to shoulder their national responsibilities, affirming that the current phase requires collective cohesion. He reiterated that unifying media discourse and enhancing societal awareness constitute a cornerstone in protecting the nation, supporting the path to restoring the state, and consolidating national alignment.

The meeting witnessed interventions from attendees that enriched the discussion and presented visions on the reality of national media and its challenges in the current phase, in a way that strengthens its role in serving national causes and entrenching responsible discourse.
