Transport Minister, Dr. Abdul Salam Humayd, met with UNODC Regional Coordinator, Mustafa Al-Banna, in Aden to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in training, capacity building, and equipment provision for transport sectors.
The Minister thanked UNODC for previous support, including communication devices and pollution monitoring tools, and requested assistance in acquiring modern explosives detection devices for ports and airports, enhancing inspection systems to counter security threats, and coordinating donor support for Aden Port and Airport, key entry points for trade and passengers.
