The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi paid an inspection visit today, Thursday to the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism HQ in the temporary capital Aden.
During the visit, he was briefed about the work at the Ministry's different sectors, the government newspaper 14 October, as well as the activities of the Ministry's offices in the governorates.
Maj. General al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of developing official media performance and the necessity of activating the role of government media and local radio stations in the governorates to contribute toward creating a balanced official media discourse.
He also emphasized the importance of focusing on external media, regulating official media discourse and activating the Ministry's offices.
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) also inspected the work at Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries.
The Minister of Agriculture Salem al-Soqatri detailed al-Zubaid on the Ministry's plans, efforts and institutional infrastructure projects, most notably the central laboratories, the regional center for combating desert locusts and the central veterinary laboratory.
Maj. General al-Zubaidi also inspected the progress of the fishing port restoration project in al-Tawahi.
The project is funded by the German Development Bank, at a total cost of 35 million dollars.
