The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Presidential Leadership Council Member al-Arada chairs meeting of military commanders in Marib

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Sultan al-Arada chaired today, Saturday, a meeting of the senior military commanders in Marib governorate, included the Chief of Staff (Lt Gen) Aziz bin Sagheer.

The meeting devoted to discuss the military and security developments in the national scene.

Al-Arada highly praised the great bravery demonstrated by the armed forces, deeply appreciating the huge sacrifices they extended during the courageous battles they fought against the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias.

" Marib has proved to be invincible and well-qualified to foil the Iranian-Persian scheme when it is at the height of its power thanks to God and the sacrifices of the free people of Yemen and its brave troops", said al-Arada.

The PLC's Member underlined the need for joining efforts and unifying ranks and files to defend the nation's sovereignty and dignity.
He said " The country is in need of everybody's efforts, weapon and honest stance, while the need for joining efforts and responsible action has never been greater as it is presently".
