His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Commander-in-Chief, along with Council's Member Abdul-Rahman al-Mahrami convened a meeting of the Supreme Security Committee (SSC) today, Saturday, at al-Ma'shiq Palace, in the temporary capital Aden.
The meeting devoted to discuss the security and military situations and the ongoing efforts to further boost security and stability.
The Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohsen al-Daeri, Chair of the SSC provided briefings about the military and security position and the preparedness of the armed and security forces to maintain security and stability as well as deter the terrorist Houthi militias and other terrorist organizations.
The discussions covered the ongoing efforts of the armed and security forces to fight terrorism and control organized crime, drugs and smuggling activities.
The Chairman of the PLC applauded the remarkable achievements of the armed and security forces in countering terrorism and controlling organized crimes, drugs and smuggling.
The armed and security forces as well as intelligence organizations are urged to double efforts and security cautions to thwart the attempts of the terrorist Houthi militias and their likeminded terrorist groups aimed to disturb security in the government-held regions.
