The Prime Minister Salem bin Braik asserted that the government is keenly seeking for international reliable partnership to establish strategic old-style and renewable energy projects, calling on Russia to have active role in the energy businesses and investments.
"We fervently invite Russian companies to take the advantage of the promising investment opportunities in energy sector in the upcoming stage", he said.
He made his statement during his talks today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen EVGENY KUDROV.
They conferred over aspects of Yemeni-Russian bilateral cooperation, promising prospects to further increase cooperation in the areas of energy, infrastructure, trade and investment as well as strengthen the safety of international navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The conversations touched on the developments in the Yemeni national arena, the government's ongoing reforms programs and the peace process.
The Prime Minister restated that the government is committed to make the comprehensive sustainable peace that is based on the well know peace references.
He celebrated the Yemeni-Russian robust relations, welcoming once again the resumption of the work of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the interim capital Aden.
The Russian Ambassador has confirmed Moscow's support for the Yemeni government and its reforms program and efforts to establish stability.
Mr. Kudrov restated that Russia is committed to support all efforts aimed at achieving peace in Yemen.
