Yemen's Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, announced that the country has settled all its outstanding financial obligations to international environmental agreements ahead of the COP30 climate summit in Belem, Brazil.

Minister Al-Sharjabi stated that Yemen has paid off debts accumulated over the past decade, demonstrating the government's commitment to restoring the country's presence in global environmental forums and its role in addressing climate change challenges.

This settlement will enable Yemen's participation in new environmental projects and programs funded by international organizations, enhancing the country's position in global climate negotiations and access to funding for environmental protection initiatives.
