Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Al-Ashwal, met with the Chairman of the General Council of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ambassador Saqr Al-Moqbel, on the sidelines of the 12th International Conference of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva.
They discussed ways to activate Yemen's membership in the WTO and enhance its presence in the international trading system.
The minister called for special support for countries affected by conflicts to ensure their continued active membership and participation in the organization's activities.
