The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani welcomed today, Thursday, the newly appointed Ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany Thomas Friedrich and the European Union (EU) Patrick Simonnet to the Republic of Yemen, in the temporary capital Aden.
Dr. Zindani highly praised the significant role of Germany and the EU in supporting peace efforts and promoting the development process in Yemen, greatly appreciating their efforts aimed at securing freedom of maritime navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
He stated that the Yemeni government is keenly seeking to strengthen cooperation and partnership relations with European partners in various political, economic, and humanitarian fields.
The German and the EU Ambassadors confirmed that Germany' and the EU will continue to support peace efforts and the Yemeni people amid current challenges.
