The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre's "Masam" landmine clearance project team announced the discovery of an anti-tank minefield in Midi district, northern Hajjah province, following a tip from a local resident.
The team, led by Engineer Saif Al-Mashmari, immediately responded to the alert and classified the area as hazardous, warning residents to avoid it until clearance operations are completed.
In a separate initiative, Masam teams intensified awareness campaigns in western coastal schools to protect students from war remnants hazards as the new academic year began.
Over 230 students at Al-Shadhili School in Mokha district, Taiz province, received education on mine recognition, reporting procedures, and safety precautions.
