Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basuhayb, held meetings with representatives from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Rahma Worldwide, and ACTED to discuss humanitarian and development interventions in Yemen.
With UNFPA, discussions focused on population estimates, family budget surveys, hospital support, maternal health programs, youth protection, and capacity building for the Central Statistics Organization.
Dr. Basuhayb emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to provide necessary data and statistics for policy-making and prioritizing humanitarian and development projects with partners and donors.
Meetings with Rahma Worldwide and ACTED explored future projects, including water scarcity solutions in Al-Dhalea governorate using advanced drilling technology, and ensuring alignment with government priorities for sustainable development and relief efforts.
