Yemen condemns Israeli Knesset's approval of law to execute Palestinian prisoners

The Republic of Yemen strongly condemns, in the strongest terms, the approval by what is known as the Israeli Knesset of a law stipulating the execution of Palestinian prisoners, and considers it an extremely dangerous escalation and a legislative precedent that entrenches an approach of extermination, and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a breach of international charters and agreements, namely the relevant Geneva Conventions on the protection of prisoners.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Mustafa Noman met Monday with representative of the sisterly State of Qatar to the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Dr. Hind Al-Muftah.

During the meetings of the Executive Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees held in Geneva, the Deputy Foreign Minister briefed the Qatari Ambassador on the situation of refugees and displaced persons in Yemen and the urgent humanitarian needs.

He appreciated the position of the sisterly State of Qatar towards Yemen and its humanitarian contributions in all fields.

For her part, the Qatari ambassador stressed the depth of historical relations between the two brotherly countries.

She confirmed that Qatar will remain supportive and backing all sister countries, especially Yemen.
