The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fishery Salem al-Soqatri held discussions today, Monday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Yemen Abdel-Hakim Ahmed on bilateral relations and cooperation.'
The conversations aimed at resuming joint cooperation in agricultural and fishery domains to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.
Al-Soqatri underlined the pressing need to revive the signed protocols between the two countries, specifically in the marine fishing.
"The difficulties the Somalis side faced by must be overcome", al-Soqatri stressed.
The Minister stressed that new agreements to protect fishermen ought to be worked out.
The Somalis Ambassador underscored the importance of promoting joint cooperation in the promising sectors, mainly agricultural, fishery and livestock.
