Governor of Hadhramout Mabkhout bin Madhi discussed with the delegation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Yemen, headed by the head of the Rule of Law Team in Dar Farouk, enhancing joint cooperation in humanitarian and human rights aspects.
The meeting discussed activating aspects of training and qualification for prison inmates in the fields of technical education and vocational training, in addition to training cadres in the field of human rights, and enhancing professional performance.
Governor Hadhramaut praised the efforts of the Commission in monitoring and documenting human rights issues and supporting humanitarian programmes.
He stressed the keenness of the local authority and the security committee to partner constructively with the Commission and provide all facilities for the success of its tasks.
For his part, the representative of the Office of the High Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the leadership of the local authority in Hadhramaut in the field of maintaining security, stability and services.
He pointed out to indicators and estimates indicate that Hadhramaut represents the best among the liberated governorates in terms of development, security, stability and service performance.
