Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi met with UN Under-Secretary-General Rola Dashti, Executive Secretary of UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly.
They discussed ESCWA's technical support to Yemen in areas like institutional capacity building, social justice, women's empowerment, renewable energy, and climate change resilience.
President al-Alimi expressed eagerness to enhance cooperation with ESCWA in economic and social fields, particularly in education, healthcare, job creation, poverty reduction, and women's empowerment, to overcome current challenges and build a stable future.
