The Presidential Leadership Council convened Thursday September 18, 2025.
During the meeting, the President and members of the Council reaffirmed the unity and cohesion of the council, committing to uphold the principle of partnership and collective leadership, in accordance with Resolution No. (9) of 2022 regarding the transfer of power and the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with the regulations governing the work of the council, the Consultation and Reconciliation Authority, and the legal and economic teams issued under Resolution No. (119) of 2025.
All members expressed their commitment to the principle of collective responsibility and consensus among the President and members of the Council.
The following decisions were made:
First: The legal team supporting the Presidential Leadership Council shall:
1. Review the decisions issued by the Presidential Leadership Council from 2022 to the date of this statement that are inconsistent with the aforementioned Resolution No. (9) within 90 days, and submit the study results and recommendations to the Council for urgent consideration.
2. Immediate begin reviewing the appointments made by Council Member Aidarus al-Zubaidi in September 2025 and submit the study results and recommendations to the Council for urgent consideration.
