Yemenia Airlines launched its first commercial flights today, Sunday, to Ataq International Airport in Shabwa governorate.

The Governor of Shabwa Awadh bin al-Wazir praised the efforts of the supporters and contributors to revitalizing air traffic in the governorate, saying this is very important for the fellow citizens in the governorate.

"This step is set to make a turning point in trade and investment businesses" he said.

The Chairman of Yemenia Airways Captain Nasser Mahmood celebrated this move, describing it as a significant progress for Yemenia.
