Vice Foreign Minister Mustafa Noman has appreciated the positive positions of the European Union towards Yemen.
He stressed that the Yemeni government views with great interest strengthening cooperation and partnership with European Union countries in support of achieving development and alleviating human suffering.
This came during his meeting Wednesday with the new European Union Ambassador to Yemen Patrick Simonet.
During the meeting, the areas of support provided by the European Union to Yemen in the humanitarian and development aspects were reviewed.
It also addressed the possibility of raising the level of this support to keep pace with the needs of the Yemeni people in light of the current circumstances, and the importance of the mission's continued presence in the temporary capital, Aden.
Noman welcomed the new European Union Ambassador, wishing him success in his duties.
He stressed the Ministry's readiness to provide all facilities to ensure the success of its work and in a way that contributes to strengthening the partnership between Yemen and the European Union.
For his part, the European Union Ambassador praised the existing relations between the European Union and Yemen.
He stressed the EU's keenness to continue its support for Yemen, stand by its government and people and work to develop aspects of cooperation in various fields.
