Chairwoman of the National Women's Committee Dr. Shafiqa Said discussed Tuesday with the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen Jeannette Seppen ways to enhance the role of Yemeni women in various fields.

The Chairwoman praised the ongoing support provided by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for women's issues in Yemen, expressing her hope for the revival of a genuine partnership between the committee and the Dutch Foreign Ministry.

For her part, the Dutch Ambassador commended the distinguished female competencies in Yemen and the role of the National Women's Committee, emphasizing the necessity of providing opportunities for women to access decision-making positions.

She also highlighted Dutch projects implemented through local and international partners in the areas of judiciary and the rehabilitation of female judges, as well as empowering women to achieve justice and enhancing the capabilities of female police officers in the security field.
