The Defense Minister (Lt Gen) Mohsen al-Dhaeri met Today, Wednesday, with the Charge d' Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Yemen Zhao Ch'ing and the Chinese Military Attaché Colonel Liu Chao.
They discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in military and logistical fields and ways to further boost collaboration in military training and qualification, as well as modern technology and techniques.
General al-Daeri welcomed the newly appointed Chinese Military Attaché, saying that his presence will contribute to enhancing military cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The Defense Minister highlighted the need for enhancing naval capabilities with the necessary equipment to secure Yemen's coasts and to curb smuggling operations that are active in the region by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia.
The Chinese diplomat reaffirmed his country's support for Yemen and its leadership represented by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to achieve stability.
