Turkish TiKA provides Yemeni fishermen with 21 marine engines

The General Authority for Fishery Resources (GAFR) in the Gulf of Aden, Abyan and Lahij governorates launched today, Sunday, in the temporary capital Aden, the distribution of 21 marine engines for fishermen provided by the Turkish Agency for Coordination and Cooperation (TiKA).

The Chairman of the GAFR Dr. Abdul-Salam Ahmed deeply appreciated the significant support and assistance of the 'TIKA' to the Yemeni fishermen , describing it as very important assistance for the fishermen to improve their livelihood.

The Director of the TiKA in Yemen Yahya Aju confirmed that this is the first batch of modern marine engines, explaining that these engines is part of the development projects implemented by the agency.
