Al-Hikma Al- Yamania Charitable Society continues implementing the mobile medical campaigns project in Lahij Governorate, funded by the Revival of Islamic Heritage Society and supervised by the Arab World Committee.
The campaign targeted the Atira camp for displaced persons in the al-Waht area of Lahij, attended by Dr. Khaled al-Rifai, Director of the Health and Population Office in the Tuban District, and Waseem al-Qubati, Director of Health Projects at the society.
More than 255 women and children benefited from the mobile medical campaign.
The campaign included providing medical consultations and treatments for cases of gastrointestinal diarrhea, worm diseases, respiratory infections, skin infections due to high temperatures, eye and ear infections, urinary tract infections in women, as well as screening and treating cases of malnutrition in children under five, pregnant and nursing women, diarrhea, and vomiting.
Awareness was raised about the importance of hygiene and the significance of vaccinations, contributing to the vaccination campaign to protect children from deadly diseases, including polio.
Mobile medical campaigns are set to continue in the governorates of Abyan, Aden, Taiz and Hadhramout in the coming days.
Dr. Khaled al-Rifai emphasized the importance of launching this mobile medical campaign and expressed gratitude to the supporting brothers in the sisterly State of Kuwait, represented by the Revival of Islamic Heritage Society, as well as al-Hikma Soceity for its various projects serving the community.
In turn, Dr. Kulthum al-Nakhibi, Program and Health Projects Coordinator at the society explained that the mobile medical campaign in the Atira camp in al-Waht area of Lahij Governorate provided various medical services through the mobile clinic and its medical, technical, nursing, and administrative staff, including consultations, examinations, free medications, and screening and treatment of malnutrition cases in children under five and mothers who are pregnant or nursing.
