Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Aidrous al-Zubaidi inspected Monday the ongoing work to re-operate Aden Refineries.
This visit took place at Aden Refinery Company, where he was welcomed by several members of the administrative body and technical staff, along with the acting general manager of the company and the deputy executive director, Engineer Said Mohammed, who accompanied him on a field tour that included the production units and vital facilities of the company.
During his visit to the refinery, al-Zubaidi chaired a meeting for the company’s administrative body to closely review the ongoing work for the re-operation of this important economic edifice and the urgent needs required for the upcoming phase.
Al-Zubaidi listened to a detailed explanation from the acting general manager, Engineer Said Mohammed, regarding the nature of the ongoing technical work to operate several units, including a mini-unit for producing about 6,000 barrels per day of diesel and fuel oil, in addition to the vacuum distillation unit and asphalt production, which is expected to resume operations in early August.
He also discussed the ongoing maintenance work for the refinery's power plant to enhance the sustainable performance of the production units.
In his directive speech during the meeting, Al-Zubaidi emphasized that the Aden Refinery Company represents a strategic economic lifeline for the country.
He added today, you are facing a real test, and we all have confidence in you and your ability to overcome difficulties and efficiently re-operate the refineries.
For their part, the acting general manager and all company staff expressed their sincere gratitude to Major General al-Zubaidi, stating that this visit represents significant moral support and a strong motivation for them to exert maximum efforts to complete the rehabilitation and operation processes.
