Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani discussed Sunday with the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop and enhance them.
Minister Zindani expressed his congratulations to the Republic of Turkey for assuming the presidency of the current session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, praising the excellent hosting and organization.
He wished Turkey success in leading the session and strengthening collective Islamic action.
Minister Zindani expressed the Yemeni government's appreciation for the positive and supportive positions that Turkey has shown towards Yemen, particularly in political and humanitarian aspects.
He emphasized the Yemeni government's commitment to enhancing partnership and cooperation with Turkey in various fields.
The Foreign Minister praised the efforts of the Turkish government and the facilities provided to the Yemeni community residing in its territory, stressing the importance of continuing these facilities, especially regarding visa issuance.
For his part, the Turkish Foreign Minister reiterated his country’s firm and supportive stance on Yemen's unity, security and stability, affirming Turkey's commitment to continue supporting the political process, enhancing humanitarian efforts, and assisting Yemen in various regional and international forums to achieve security and stability and to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
