The Equality Organization for Rights and Freedoms has renewed its call for Houthi militia leaders to be held accountable for the 2015 Haran massacre in Dhamar, Yemen.
The organization marked the 10th anniversary of the massacre, which resulted in the deaths of over 52 civilians, including journalists and politicians, and injured many more. The victims were held captive in buildings filled with weapons and used as human shields.
The Equality Organization stated that the massacre constitutes a war crime under international law and a serious violation of the Yemeni constitution.
