Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tareq Saleh discussed Thursday with Deputy Minister of Transport Nasser Sharif and Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan ways to speed up operation of al-Makha International Airport.
The meeting addressed the obstacles delaying the launch of flights to and from the airport, as well as possible solutions to overcome them, aiming to enable the airport to serve citizens.
Tareq Saleh emphasized the importance of coordination between the Ministry of Transport, Yemenia Airways and the local authority in Taiz to ensure the airport's operation, which is technically ready to receive travelers.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Transport expressed the ministry's commitment to accelerating the procedures for operating the airport, praising the significant developmental progress in the city of al-Makha and the western coast, including the modernization of the land transport network and the development of al-Makha Port.
