Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan met with US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin to discuss enhancing joint cooperation and resuming development projects in the governorate.
The meeting focused on reviewing Taiz's economic and social development plan, which aims to move from emergency aid to sustainable development projects.
Governor Shamsan underscored the importance of international partnerships, particularly with the United States, in mobilizing funding to support the plan and promote recovery and local development.
He emphasized the need for support in infrastructure and basic services, including health, education, and water, to build the capacity of local institutions and achieve sustainable stability.
Ambassador Fagin reiterated the US commitment to supporting stability and development, highlighting the US efforts to provide technical and humanitarian assistance and support the government's sustainable development initiatives.
