The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak stressed the importance of Yemeni expatriates staying connected to their homeland and contributing to its development.

He directed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to prioritize communication and integration with these talented nationals, considering them a valuable asset.

During a dialogue seminar in Aden, Dr. bin Mubarak highlighted the need for strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions and the private sector to drive scientific research and address challenges. He also emphasized the significance of scientific publishing in boosting academic excellence and the status of Yemeni researchers globally.

The Prime Minister called on academics and researchers to support the government in promoting transparency and accountability, fostering an informed public opinion against corruption.

He warned about the ongoing threat posed by the Houthi clerical regime and the need for combined efforts to confront it and restore state institutions.
