The Republic of Yemen participated Wednesday in the work of the 54th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) held in the State of Kuwait, represented by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib, who is also Yemen's governor at the fund.
During the meeting, discussions took place regarding the activities of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the priorities of issues related to Arab financial work and the review and approval of the administrative and financial reports of the fund for the past year.
Minister Badhib affirmed, in a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the government's commitment to participating in all joint annual meetings of Arab bodies and funds to enhance cooperation with them.
He emphasized the government's interest in addressing the challenges it faces and moving forward with implementing priority developmental projects to improve the overall situation in the country.
