[17/03/2025 06:05]

ADEN - SABA
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stressed that is very important for the International Community (IC) to join the punitive measures against the Terrorist Houthi Militias and work together to drain their funding and arming sources, stop their gross violations of human rights and their military adventures at national and regional levels, and applying the UNSC's resolutions in relevance, namely the resolution 2216.

He voiced his statement during his talks today, Monday, with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katharine Corm Kammoun.

The conversations focused on the Yemeni-French bilateral relations and cooperation, developments in our country, the implications of the terrorist attacks by the Iranian regime's agents (Houthi militias) on the oil facilities and international maritime navigation.

The chances to establish peace and stability in Yemen were also touched on.

The talks also covered the economic and humanitarian challenges and the needed French and international assistance to support the government's efforts to manage these challenges and alleviate the Yemeni people's suffering.

President al-Alimi celebrated Yemeni-French robust bilateral relationship, highly praising the French supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people's cause, underlining the need for more active European role and further international partnership.

"We're looking forward to an effective European role and an inclusive international partnership", he said.
The Chairman of the PLC made it clear that the waterways will remain a permanent source of tension as long as the terrorist Houthi militias have continued to control coastal regions and overtly cooperate with the terrorist organizations inside Yemen and the African Horn.

He also restated that the only way to eliminate the terrorist threats starts by supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government, which is a member of the UN, to restore the Yemeni state's institutions, establish its control over all the country's territories, as a strategic partners of the international community in securing the maritime navigation, ensuring the international peace and security.
