President al-Alimi chairs meeting with Joint Operations Commission
[16/03/2025 07:11]
ADEN - SABA
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)—Commander-in Chief— held a meeting with Joint Operations Commission (JOC) today, Sunday, in the presence of the Minister of Defense Maj. General Mohsen al-Daeri and the Chief of the General Staff, Commander of the Joint Operation Maj. General Sagheer bin Aziz.

The General al-Daeri and Aziz presented an overview on the military situations and the combating preparedness of the troops in the frontlines of all fronts and every military axis.

The discussions also touched on the developments relating to the American air strikes on the military sites of the Iranian regime-allied terrorist Houthi militias.

The meeting held the Houthi militias fully accountable for this escalation, besides bringing the international sanctions and militarizing the regional waters, further exacerbating the economic hardships and worsening the Yemeni's ordeal.

The meeting recalled the peace proposals provided by the PLC, the government and the brothers in the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to establish peace, end the war and put an end of the Yemeni people's suffering.

The meeting blamed the Houthi militias for rejecting all peace initiatives, instead the terrorist militias opted for further devastating escalation, targeting the oil facilities and international shipping lanes and going on violations of human rights.

The meeting warned the terrorist Houthi militias of any additional escalation to compensate for their clear inability to keep on misleading the public opinion.

The meeting made it clear that the armed forces and military units are ready to deal firmly with any uncalculated adventures.

The meeting called on the terrorist Houthi militias to abandon the Iranian expansion scheme and opt to the Yemeni people's interests, come to peace in accordance with the references agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally, including the UNSC's resolution 2216.

The meeting reiterated the position of the PLC and the government that the ideal means to achieve regional and international security starts with supporting the Yemeni state's institutions and its armed forces within an inclusive strategy for partnership with the regional and international community to take control over all Yemeni regions and ensure the international security and peace.
