Minister of Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh discussed today with the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and support the health sector in Yemen, and develop implemented projects.
The meeting discussed the conditions of the health sector in Yemen, and the challenges it faces, especially priority projects such as maternal and child health, development of health institutes, and training and rehabilitation of health cadres.
The minister also held separate discussions with the Korean Ambassador to Yemen on the possibility of resuming Korean support for the health sector in Yemen.
The two sides discussed the conditions of the health sectors and their need for support; support for capacity building projects and infrastructure in health information systems, and investment in providing health facilities with solar energy equipment.
