The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi met today, Saturday, with the Governors of the governorates of Abyan Maj. General Abu Bakr Salem and al-Dhale'a Maj. General Ali Saleh.

Salem and Saleh reported to al-Zubaidi about the situations of the basic services, the military and security developments, local authorities' efforts to establish security, stability and to improve basic services as well as the challenges need to be addressed in different sectors.

The meeting touched on the latest security and military developments in the frontlines of the flashpoints amid the continuing attacks and attempts by the Houthi militias to destabilize the security in the two governorates.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi praised the heroic resistance and steadfastness demonstrated by the heroes of the armed forces in different frontlines, stressing the importance of strengthening the combating preparedness and boosting coordination between the military and security units to counter any potential escalation.

The Member of the PLC stressed that it is very important to double down the efforts to improve the basic services in the two governorates in accordance with the available resources to allay the fellow citizens' suffering amid the harsh economic hardships the country has been going through.

Al-Zubaidi also emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination with the international organizations operate in the two governorates to ensure the implementation of further development projects to improve the basic services infrastructure including health, education, water and electricity.
