President al-Alimi to people: A nation united in goodness never be defeated
[28/02/2025 08:01]
ADEN - SABA
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi has called upon the Yemeni people and national forces to unite, reject division, and uphold the values of solidarity and compassion.

He also urged the private sector, the business community, and social initiatives to double their charitable programs and assist those in need, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, when there is a pressing need to mobilize all governmental and community resources to alleviate the humanitarian crisis caused by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

In a speech on the occasion of Ramadan, President al-Alimi, on behalf of himself and his fellow council members and the government, congratulated all Yemeni people both at home and abroad on the advent of this holy month, which God has made a mercy for His servants and an opportunity for piety, solidarity and support.

He prayed to God to make it a month of goodness and blessing and to return it to the Yemeni people with the fulfillment of their aspirations for victory, the restoration of their state institutions, security, and stability.

In the speech delivered on his behalf by Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammed Shabibah, President al-Alimi stated: "In these blessed days and nights, we call upon everyone, especially the benefactors among businessmen and the private sector, to elevate the values of compassion, help the aggrieved, and increase their humanitarian interventions for the impacted families. A nation united in goodness and solidarity can never be defeated."

As this holy month arrives, our people continue to suffer the repercussions of an unjust war imposed by terrorist, coup militias supported by the Iranian regime, which have employed all means of intimidation and sabotage to eradicate livelihoods and obstruct any opportunity from the government, as well as the regional and international community to alleviate the painful humanitarian suffering, he said.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed that he and his fellow council members fully understand the magnitude of the economic and service crisis and the escalating pain expressed in peaceful activities, the voices of the free and the cries of mothers and children in every inch of our beloved homeland.

He renewed his commitment not to spare any effort to alleviate the suffering caused by the Houthi terrorist militias, which have bet on the destruction of oil facilities and halting exports, leading to a complete collapse of the situation within days.

President al-Alimi strongly praised the resilience and steadfastness of the Yemeni people in the face of that terrorist organization, which has failed despite leaving behind a funding crisis due to the state losing more than 60% of its public resources, its main source for bolstering its foreign currency reserves.

"Here we are today more resilient after nearly two and a half years of those criminal attacks, and we remain committed to turning crises into opportunities for complete victory, with God's help," said President al-Alimi.

In this holy month, he reminded citizens in areas forcibly under the control of the terrorist militias that the government has made every effort and has offered all possible concessions to improve their conditions and resume the payment of their salaries.

"But this group wants nothing but poverty, oppression and humiliation for the Yemeni people," he said, reaffirming his support for citizens in areas forcibly controlled by the terrorist militias and their aspirations and dreams that this bondage must come to an end.

"We believe that no matter how long the night lasts, dawn will come, and Yemen will rise despite all trials."

President al-Alimi referred to his acceptance of the invitation from his brother, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt to attend the upcoming extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo on March 4, affirming Yemen's steadfast position alongside the Palestinian people and rejecting all projects aimed at displacing them and liquidating their just cause.

He also emphasized his directives on this great religious occasion to the relevant authorities for the immediate release of prisoners who have served three-quarters or half of their sentences.

He also directed to consider the release of those detained regarding private rights on a commercial guarantee, with the formation of committees in the governorates from the prosecution, local authorities and chambers of commerce to assist the indebted.
