First Deputy Governor of Hodeidah, Walid al-Qudaymi, today met with Dr. Latifa Abbas the Nutrition Officer at the World Health Organization, to discuss ways to enhance nutrition and health support in health facilities.
They took stock of the challenges facing the nutrition and health sector, including the need for more food and medical supplies in affected areas, and the importance of providing basic health services to citizens, especially in rural and remote areas. Al-Qudaymi stressed the importance of cooperation aimed at improving the health and nutritional situation in Hodeidah, noting that the health situation in the governorate needs urgent measures and a rapid response to support targeted health facilities.
