Health Minister discusses with NAMRO joint cooperation

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh discussed today, Wednesday, in the temporary capital Aden with the Advisor to the US Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRO) Dr. Alia Zayed aspects of joint cooperation in the health sector.
Dr. Buhaybeh was briefed on the activities carried out by the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) with the support of the NAMRO in the field of entomological investigation of malaria vectors and other diseases, in addition to the findings of the surveys carried out, during which new vectors for malaria and dengue were discovered.
The Minister of Health praised the role of NAMRO in strengthening the work of the NMCP, highlighting the need to further strengthen areas of cooperation and entomological monitoring as well as to confront the effects of migration and climate change on the health situation in Yemen.
