Deputy Minister of Interior discusses safety plans, programs for IO's employees with INSO

The Deputy Minister of Interior for Human Resources and Finance Major General Dr. Qaid Atef discussed Saturday with the Country Director of the International NGO Safety Organization (INSO) in Yemen Zaid al-Ali the safety plans and programs for international organization's (IO) employees.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the role of international organizations in supporting and enhancing the capabilities of security personnel at the ministry and provincial levels, as well as their role as a facilitator for employees of international organizations operating in Yemen.

This is to be coordinated with the Ministry of Interior to guide them on safe movements for employee safety and to educate them on international laws governing the operations of organizations and the obligations they must adhere to.

For his part, Zaid al-Ali pointed out that the humanitarian work of the organization and its programs and plans stem from the organization's goal of coordinating with the Ministry of Interior and international organizations working in Yemen.

He explained that they have programs and plans to provide training courses for international organization employees, educating them on international standards and laws governing organizational work (international humanitarian law, community engagement, humanitarian principles, and human rights).

He also said they have training courses for security personnel to educate them on international laws regarding how to interact with organization employees in conflict areas and to facilitate their movements safely to deliver assistance.
