Al-Wahishi discusses political, economic cooperation with Russian President Envoy

MOSCOW - SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to Russia Dr. Ahmed al-Wahishi discussed Friday here with the Russian President's Special Envoy to the Middle East and Africa, the Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov political and economic cooperation between the two countries.

They also touched upon the latest developments in Yemen and the region, particularly regarding international and regional efforts aimed at achieving lasting and sustainable peace.

Ambassador al-Wahishi briefed the Russian envoy on the terrorist crime committed by the Houthi militia against innocent civilians and civilian properties in the al-Hanakah village in al-Baydhaa governorate, as well as the international efforts to release the kidnapped government employees held by the Houthi militia.

For his part, the Russian envoy reaffirmed his country's commitment to supporting diplomatic and political efforts to achieve peace and end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
