Minister of Local Administration Hussein Al-Aghbari met with German Berghof Foundation representatives in Aden to discuss 2025 development projects. These projects strengthen local authorities in liberated Yemeni governorates through institutional building and rehabilitation.
Al-Aghbari highlighted challenges facing local authorities, emphasizing the need for international support.
He praised Berghof's efforts in local governance, peacebuilding and decentralization.
Project areas include institutional building, decentralization, social cohesion and capacity building. On their part, Berghof's representatives took stock of activities implemented during previous years and plans for 2025, focusing on Aden and Abyan governorate as a first phase.
