His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) met today, Monday, with the Speaker of Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obeid bin Dagher to discuss the ongoing preparations to convene the meeting of the Shura Council and to re-forming the Anti-Corruption High National Commission (ACHNC) to enforce the resolutions and recommendations of the PLC.
Dr. Bin Dagher briefed President al-Alimi about the planned steps to carry out the PLC's decision about re-forming the ACHNC, including the arrangements to announce the candidacy to the membership of the Commission in accordance with legal conditions and the references of the transitional stage, particularly the Declaration of the Power Transfer and the Riyadh Agreement.
Bin Dagher also updated al-Alimi on the actions of the headship of the Shura Council during the previous period as well as the Council's action plan in the next period.
The conversations touched on the developments in the national arena and the Shura Council's consultative role in ameliorating the performance of the state's institutions and supporting the executive authority to accelerate the implementation of the economic rescuing plan and the policies and measures that have been taken to mitigate the humanitarian suffering which has been further worsen by the attacks of the Iranian regime backed Houthi terrorist militias on the oil facilities and international maritime shipping lanes.
In this context, the Chairman of the PLC reiterated thanks and appreciation to the brothers in the Arab Coalition in support of the legitimate Yemeni government led by the Kingdom of Suadi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people and their constant support for the state general budget to help the government to deliver on its obligations first and foremost to pay the employees' salaries and secure the basic commodities and services for millions of the Yemenis all over the country.
Al-Alimi and Bin Dagher meeting also touched on the situations in the governorate of al-Baidha and the required measures to deter the terrorism of the Houthi militias and the grisly violations against human rights in the village of "Hankat al-Massoad" in the District of al-Qarishia, where the militiamen bombarded the villagers' houses with different heavy weapons and drones, imposed strangling blockade on the area for the second successive weeks, denied the inhabitants access to medical services and food stuff.
