The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met Friday with the U.S. Special Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking on the sidelines of the 20th Regional Security Forum (Manama Dialogue).
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the political, security, and economic situations in the country, as well as the violations committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia against the Yemeni people.
Minister Zindani emphasized the Presidential Leadership Council's commitment to achieving peace and ending the war, pointing out to the Houthi militia's evasion of its obligations and its threats to maritime security and international trade in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb.
For his part, the U.S. envoy reaffirmed his country's commitment to supporting efforts to end the war and achieve peace in Yemen.
