The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warmly welcomed the decision of the friendly Italian government to appoint an Italian Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen.

The Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this move is very important illustrates the historic relations between the friendly countries and people and underlines the importance of strengthening these relationships.

The Ministry's statement highly praised the pronouncement of the Italian Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani about assigning an Italian Ambassador to Yemen as a signal of Italy's support for Yemen's internationally recognized authorities.
