The Yemeni government welcomed the Canadian government's decision about designating the Iranian regime-backed Houthi terrorist militias as a terrorist entity under the Canadian Criminal Code, which contributes to countering the terrorist militias' threats to security and stability in Yemen and the region.
In a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Yemeni government's appreciation to the Canadian government for its position and support for the Yemeni people.
The Ministry called on the international community to take similar steps to support the Republic of Yemen in confronting the terrorism of these militias, whose threat extends to international navigation and the global economy
