Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi held discussions today, Wednesday, with the Korean Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen DO Bong-Kae over joint cooperation and ways to further boost bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
The conversations touched on the developments of the humanitarian situation in Yemen amid the economic hardships the Yemeni peoples are experiencing due to the persistence of the Houthi militias' escalation on the marine shipping lanes and the blockade imposed by the militias on oil exports.
The ongoing efforts to stop the war, make peace and establish stability in the region were also discussed.
Maj. General al-Zubaidi praised the constructive role of south Korea in assisting Yemen in different fields, particularly amid current difficult circumstances.
The member of the PLC expressed his hope for greater Korean role in supporting the development drive in Yemen in the future.
The Korean Ambassador has confirmed his country's support for the efforts to make peace in Yemen.
Mr. Bong-Kae also affirmed that his government is willing to continue to provide developmental and humanitarian aids, support training and capacity building programs at the vocational and technological institutes.
