Finance Minister Salem bin Braik held talks today, Tuesday, in the transitional capital Aden, with the Economic Advisor to the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the UN to Yemen Dirk Jean over the current economic hardships and financial challenges that have been seriously worsen by the terrorist attacks on oil facilities by the Iranian regime-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
The talks covered a range of topics relating to the Houthi militias' economic war, including the militias' attacks on the international marine navigation, enhancing the financial division in the country and imposing blockade on oil exports which accounts for some 70 percent of the state's general budget revenues.
The conversations also dealt with the government's efforts to cope with the economic and financial challenges, fight corruption and improve revenues.
