His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Monday, the Yemeni Orchestra headship led by Maestro Mohammad al-Qahoum.
The Orchestra performed last night at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh a joyful musical and singing concert.
The President praised the incredibly amazing musical performance of the Yemeni Orchestra during the concert organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Yemeni Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and the Hadhramaut Foundation for Culture.
The President said the government is very keen to sponsor arts, culture and literature, including the orchestra and its distinguished musical works to revive, modernize and introduce the traditional Yemeni musical, lyrical and folklore heritage to the audience around the world.
The Chairman of the PLC promised to direct authorities in charge to provide the musical band with available support to enable it to introduce the Yemeni musical arts and present a global message of peace and an honorable image of Yemen, its people, its artistic richness and its ancient human cultural heritage.
