The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has placed speial emphasis on the importance of organizing an extraordinary Arab and Islamic summit in the Saudi capital given the grave Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the continued aggression including siege, destruction and displacement.
During a ministerial meeting in preparation for the summit, OIC's Secretary-General Hussein Taha warned that the dire consequences of the Israeli occupation's measures against UNRWA, stressing its vital role in providing basic services to Palestinian refugees and being a witness to the international community's commitment and responsibility towards their cause.
