Mujalli: Our top goal is peace, restore the State's institutions

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Sheikh Othman Mujalli has made it clear that the PLC's main goal is peace and to restore the State's institutions.

His remark came during his meeting today, Tuesday, with the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of the United Kingdom (UK) Steven Hickey.

He put emphasize on the importance of fighting terrorism, designating Houthi militia a terrorist group and besieging Iran and its role in exporting terrorism and weapons to Yemen and the region in order to achieve the peace the Yemeni people are looking for.

Mujalli deeply appreciated the significant support provided by the friends in the UK to support the Yemeni coast guard, building capacities and contribute to the relief and humanitarian efforts as well as the supportive stances in support of the PLC and the Yemeni people.

The British official stated that London is very interested in the security, stability and development of Yemen and the protection of the marine shipping lanes in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
