Finance Minister Salem bin Braik restated that it is very important to continue the role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in building capacities of the financial institutions in Yemen in order to achieve their objectives.
He made his statement during his meeting today, Wednesday, in Washington, with the representatives of the IMF.
The meeting aimed to discuss the mechanisms for building the capacities of the financial institutions, the difficulties need to be overcome and the requirements for their infrastructure to start the united treasury system and the two authorities of customs and taxes to establish the information systems.
The Minister highlighted the need for international support to boost the public finance capacities and the taxes policies.
